I'm 24, I deleted my facebook 3 years ago. Twitter is much more acceptable. I love watching celebrities say random shit like the average joe. Somehow I can't stand reality TV with them. I just like Twitter. |

More than 5 out of 6 people don't, so I'd say it makes you pretty normal. |

You definitely have serious issues and should probably seek help. Anyone who hasn't assimilated yet is simply crazy. |

really? thats interesting, I defintely know people who dont have facebook but I didnt realize that it was in fact the majority. just goes to show how "in your face" the facebook sensation is. I thought it was the majority that had facebook but glad to see not everyone is addicted (I am unfortunately one of those people... getting better however) to op, i'd say your perfectly fine. friends might argue its hard to keep up with you but thats their fault for not calling, texting or even seeing you in person. |

5 of 6 people on the planet don't have it. Probably most people in the U.S. do. This: http://www.prdaily.com/Main/Articles/Study_51_percent_of_Americans_use_Facebook_7826.aspx is from last year. The numbers have increased since then. Of course, having a facebook account is not really the same as 'being on' facebook. Like many things, only a small percentage of those with the opportunity to do so actually log onto facebook daily, or post much or at all. To the OP. My attitude toward fb has softened considerably over the last couple years, but, from what I've observed, the the time that people your age tend to waste on fb, not having a fb account is probably a net positive for you. |

Well, I would say since it's a free service, there really is no reason not to be on it. It can be useful at times and you can always limit the amount of information you share and the amount of time you use it. But, I wouldn't say it makes you "nuts". I'm not too familiar with Twitter, but Facebook to me seems like a much more useful tool (planning events, organization communication, etc). |

I'm 21 and I don't have a facebook, but I've been pressured several times to get one. I don't keep in contact with my friends that are far away from me, but when I see them I feel like it's more personal since we have alot of catching up to do. The worst part about it though is that whenever I meet new people they always freak out on me not having a facebook. It's hard to keep in contact with the new people I meet. Because of this I feel like getting a facebook. |

No, it doesn't, as long as you're not one of those people that hates on Facebook because you think it's trendy to dislike it. |

Be on FB or don't. Whatever. Doesn't make you nuts. Doesn't make you a hero. Truth in advertising: I have a FB account. I pretty much never use it. But it was the means by which some folks contacted me for a couple of events so I guess it has provided some value. |
