First thing is to focus on learning to do core lifts properly with free weights Squad, Dead, Clean, Bench, military press I'd skip snatch for a runner, although maybe you could do some with just the bar. |

I am 45 and used to be able to do 18 arms fully extended hand over the bar pullups (20 years ago). Last night I went to the gym and couldn't do 2. Perhaps 6 kg heavier though. Are pullups strength that necessary. When running my best I could only do 6. |
