I am currently training for an adventure race, my primary focus is raising my vdot through basic running and one T Pace workout a week. Obviously I am a follower of daniels.

I tend to run five days a week and this is the most serious I have been in three or four years. I know how to train myself, I have been most successful when I rest more then my peers. The season I ran the best I ran four days a week more frequently then seven. Right now I work jobs that require me to be on my feet so usually by the time the weekend comes I am spent and take it off. Also its the first time I have trained at 5300 feet.

Two weeks ago I did a very stupid drive to go kayaking (16 hrs after a whole weekend of working and my typical week of training) only to be there for a few days and drive back. Anyway I am experiencing a set back after the return trip. I got sick, and now I have a lingering cough. I only enjoy running for 30 minutes then I get tired and want to stop. My strength (i have the same max for pull-ups) is similar but my endurance sucks. I can't do long runs or t pace workouts now. During my collegiate career I tended to get anxious during similar feelings of fatigue and I typically made the choice to hypertrain and then totally lose it. I assume if I take it easy, when I feel better I will be able to return to my normal level of training. My goal is to be as fit as possible in 2 months. Any advice?
say what????
