Should I fly across the country to watch the Olympic Trials this summer? 4/30/2012 2:38PM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
Looking like it'd be about $600 round trip flight. Not sure how much tickets are to the meet -- I'd likely only attend the last few days. I've never been to Eugene. How affordable/available are hotels in the Hayward Field vicinity?

No, you should not fly across the country. Be sure to stop off in Eugene. Else you WILL miss the Trials!

Hotels are at a premium and I thought tix were sold out.

Saw the Trials in 1996 in Atlanta. What a great time. I would think Eugene would be even better.

I'm also on to London for the Olys. I'll watch NCAA and US trials on TV. The Olys are where the medals are awarded and I want to see that in person.
