In this country, people are called "kids" until their mid 20s, so I guess it makes sense to call a 30-something year old a young adult. The term "college kid" is one of the sillier phrases we've come up with. The only people who can rightly be called college kids are the few geniuses who breeze through high school and end up starting college at 14. The other 99.9999999999% of us were full grown adults upon entering college.
