Problems with running daily? 4/25/2012 4:37PM Reply | Return to Index | Report Post
So I run 7 days a week (no full rest days, just a few easy recovery runs), at about 40 miles per week. I'm not a super competitive runner/not training for anything in particular, I just love to run (That's why I prefer the 7-day a week schedule). I've been running every single day for months now with no injuries at all. There are some days, however, where my legs get extremely stiff at night. Then when I wake up in the morning I always feel fresh. Anyone else experience stiff legs at night? I always run early in the morning, and my legs feel fine throughout the day, it's only at night they feel stiff and sore.

Anyone else experience this?

no can't say i do, sounds like you need to add some stretching and try increasing the amount of fluids you take in over the course of the day not just after a workout.

if your training hard your leg are going to be stiff and sore part of the deal.

Sorry, I can't help you out. I only run twice a week because my legs ache so much after 15 miles I have to take 2 or 3 days off to recover.
