This past week was essentially their trials or their prelim and they both laid a DNF. They raced themselves off of the team. G Mutai couldn't handle the heat, literally and figuratively. It could get very hot in August in London. Makau lost head to head against those who he was competing for a spot. They were given a moment to show what they could do on a given day and they failed. |

yep. it was essentially a trials race. thankfully, AK has made a decision. time to move forward. I for one think Wilson Kipsang, and Abel Kirui were excellent choices. You've got basically the co world record holder and the double world champion representing. I guess the 3rd choice would have been besieged no matter who they picked. |
