| SOMEBODY HELP ME |

I have been training in the Minimus roads for over a year without problems, but things are starting to get bad, I've got matching black toenails on both feet, I had pain in the ball of my left foot, and pain on the outside of my right foot, not to mention an annoying ingrown toenail on the right foot big toe. And this shoe sucks on rainy days! My legs feel beat up after running in these when they are wet. And I am a forefoot runner. Requirments: Flexible, light, big toe box, and probably a low heel to toe drop |

The new Saucony Kinvara launches May 1. It is available in a wide (EE) width. Otherwise, try the Brooks Pure Flow and size up a half size. Can't help with he rain,though... |

Check out the Merrell bare access, 0mm heel to toe drop and a very wide toe box. Similar to their other barefoot shoes but with 8mm of cushinionimg instead of 4mm makes them awesome on long run days. |

Agreed. The Brooks Pure Project shoes for road are good. I didn't likevthe new balance minimus road shoes. They just felt wrong forbmy foot. I just ordered a pair of new balance 730's from running warehouse. They are set to come in tomorrow. They have more forefoot cushioning and a 4mm drop. Will let you know how they are. I got the 12EE. |

NB 1400s are flexible, light, and have a huge toe box...best upper I've ever run in...but the heel-to-toe drop is a bit much for me (don't know what it is off-hand, but I can feel it). Still probably my favorite shoe right now, you might want to try it. I take the insoles out and they feel a lot better. |

+1 for the Brooks Pure series. For me the connect woos great, but it is pretty curved and narrow. The Flow has a very generous toe box. Either of them really does encourage a mid foot landing. |
