Poor Kirui, he fought it out but couln't finish strong. Throws the selection process in more shambles, Now we understand how hard it is to name the Kenyan team. The only one right now on the team unquestionably is W kipsang. The rest will be hard to name. given kirui's fight thou, i think he still has a better chance |

The pace absolutely destroyed Kirui and Lilesa at the end. They went for the win and paid for it. The Kenyan Olympic team will be interesting. I'd go with Kipsang, Kirui and Mutai if I was picking it. |

Worku, Lelissa and Kirui did not run a smart race. They put themselves in the shoes of someone like Kipsang who has run 2:03 before. That is why they bombed. I a m sure if they had run their own race, they would have run 2:04 high or 2:05 low. I hope Kirui has learned a lesson today. Kipsang also blew up in the last mile or so but his time puts him as second fastest ever on London course. As for Martin LEl, I think he is a phenomenon athlete. He was below the radar today and very few people thought of him coming through in the top five. But here he collects the silver again. He is the true Mr. London. Three golds, three silver and I think one bronze in London. I think London should come up with a marathon or half marathon race named after him. |
| Oh please |

Mosop had the next best placing and time after Kipsang. I name Kipsang, Mosop, and G. Mutai. Mutai because I think secretly that's who AK wanted ahead of time, and he knew it. |

why? he tried to go toe to toe with the best and failed hard. it was a gutsy race and i commend him for it, but it was not an indicator that he can compete at the olympic level. the advantage kirui was supposed to have over everyone was his ability to win races, not time trial WRs. the argument against him was his slower PR. this was a perfect race to showcase his racing prowess- a slower paced race with plenty of talent and surges |
