There's not a whole lot that I know of. I'm pretty sure Deena Kastor is Jewish. |

13:13.96 Berlin 01/09/1998 3000 record is 7:41/7:40i by Sully. These seem within reach as well.

He said that he is running the 10,000 next week. It will be interesting to see (who knows, could he break the Canadian record), but at the same time it could totally destroy his legs. For the high caliber guys (unless they take "vitamins"), it sometimes takes a month to fully recover from a good 10,000. The 1500m would have been way safer... |

Homie runs 150 miles/week. "Typical" recoveries may not apply. |

hey actually I know cam's birth parents and he's adopted- he really is about part black |

that kind of recovery from a track race is pretty rare. Anyways, Levins runs 155 mpw. He's anything but fragile. |

Yeah, like get beat by 3 seconds on the last lap of a tactical 5k. Obviously he's pretty young and has a lot of time to improve but let's not get ahead of ourselves.[/quote] I don't think he'd get beat by 3 seconds dude. Maybe 1 or 2... |

Seen Lagat close in 51.9 to run 12:59, so depends, it can happen. |

He is definetely mixed race. You will see this if you 'google images' him. 'Levins' is a derived name from Levy (Jewish) which then became 'Levins' - but this is confusing, because you find some Irish people with the name 'Levins' so his origins are not completely clear, or those of his adoptive parents. He started running track races in 4th grade, and began training with older runners at a very young age, so he has always had a solid mileage base from a young age, in Western Canada. The only concern is that his window of improvement might be shorter than average, as he has attained high mileage for years. Ghost in Saudi. www.kfupm.edu.sa, apply today |

No, the guys that I am referring to are high 27 to low 28 who ran 125 to 150 miles per week, but with no "vitamins". It can apply. |

I concur using my own eyes. Obviously there is probably a mix in there. But he is Jewish as much as Tiger Woods is Asian. While you are at it, can somebody confirm his age. I wouldn't doubt it if somebody insists he is 21-22. But he sure looked damned physically mature for his age.

Is that fast enough for Athletics Canada to send him to the games? I know they have some different standards. |

Ghost you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. He hasn't had a "solid mileage base" from a young age. He's been increasing every year since finishing high school. People who think they know what they're talking about crack me up. Stay in Saudi dude. |

This is complete BS on so many levels, and trust me, I know!! |
