If you were running it was hot! I was spectating at BC and when I got off the T and walked up the hill I thought this is bad. I' ve personally run 25 marathons including 3 Boston's and quibbling over a few degrees doesn't matter, whoever was running had it tough. I saw an Ethiopian who has run 2:04 come off that hill looking as bad as any 4:04 runner. |

hard to say. both were f'n hot. i took better advantage of all the ice, sponges, hoses, sprinklers, etc.. on the course Monday than i did in 04 |

I did both. I did 04 slower with my father. I thought more people looked like they were suffering this year. From 15.5 on there were a ton of people walking this year. I don't remember that many people suffering like that in 04. |

Yes, I wonder if it was say 74 degrees it would have been worse since they wouldn't have had opened the fire hydrants to spray people and many people would not had their hose out there to cool people off. Once I got wet, I was good for a good half mile. If you weren't too concerned about your time this year, there was plenty of ways to take advantage of keeping wet and cool. If the humidity would have been higher, it would have been much worse. |
