So I've got one question for all of you. Is Webb's recent double sign of a "comeback"? By aforementioned word, I simply mean, that Webb is on pace to replicate the same type of results he had last time his double was like this (ie; 3:36/3:37 1500m).
For those who say yes, respond with 1. For those who think no, 2. For those who really don't care, 3. And for those who think the OP should spend his time thinking about other things, 4. AND... for all you trolls, please respond with whatever number or inane comment strikes your fancy.
Thanks for your time.
But unless their objective is to win NCAA's this year, I doubt that they will consider 3:36+ to be good enough. He is likely to need to be in 3:32-3:34 shape to make London, and that would be a tall order considering where he was when he started with Vig.
I think Alan can get back to 3:32 territory just like Lagat got to 3:29 5 years after 3:26. But I fear that Webb, like Tyson Gay, is a year away from getting all the way back. I'd like to see both Webb and Gay in London with a shot at the podium, but an awful lot of things have to fall into place.
