2012 4xMILE Across the Nation Here are the PRs from any of these seasons (2010,2011,2012, IN/OUT) 1500m times were converted to mile times by multiplying the time by 1.079 Obviously not all these teams will compete at Penn Relays/Drake Relays but check out how many teams are legit! In order to make the list you needed to have 4 guys under 4:06 with the exception of Villanova who only had 3 guys under 4:06 but those 3 were so fast that a slow fourth guy would still compete. All times this past weekend have not been included OKLAHOMA 15:50.47 3:54.59 Patrick Casey 3:58.17 Riley Masters 3:58.76 George Alex 3:58.95 Frezer Legesse (5) 3:58.99 Eric Harasyn STANFORD 15:55.77 3:57.46 Dylan Ferris 3:58.64 Chris Derrick 3:59.75 Tyler Stutzman 3:59.92 Michael Atchoo (5) 4:00.78 Andrew Berberick OKLAHOMA STATE 15:58.20 3:58.53 Thomas Farrell 3:58.84 Kirubel Erassa 3:58.94 Raul Botezan 4:01.89 German Fernandez (5) 4:04.39 Shane Moskowitz ARIZONA 15:59.41 3:55.09 Lawi Lalang 3:58.50 Abdi Hassan 4:01.22 Stephen Sambu 4:04.60 James Eichberger PROVIDENCE 15:59.81 3:55.75 David McCarthy 3:58.57 Julian Matthews 3:59.81 Dominic Channon 4:05.68 Shane Quinn INDIANA 16:00.83 3:57.75 Andrew Bayer 3:59.81 De'Sean Turner 4:00.47 Ben Hubers 4:02.80 Andy Weatherford (5) 4:03.96 Andrew Poore PRINCETON 16:01.02 3:58.76 Peter Callahan 3:59.98 Joe Stilin 4:00.30 Donn Cabral 4:01.98 Trevor Van Ackeren TULSA 16:02.09 3:56.48 Chris O'Hare 4:00.74 Tom Marshall 4:01.98 Andrew Heyes 4:02.89 Paulo Pinheiro (5) 4:04.72 Sam Masters VIRGINIA TECH 16:03.01 3:58.41 Michael Hammond 4:00.70 William Mulherin 4:01.35 Chris Walizer 4:02.55 Grant Pollock (5) 4:04.18 Ryan Hagen ARKANSAS 16:04.14 3:57.24 Duncan Phillips 4:01.33 Scott Gillespie 4:02.68 Michael Chinchar 4:02.89 Thomas Cattin-Masson (5) 4:04.65 Omar Abdi WISCONSIN 16:04.71 3:58.68 Alexander Hatz 4:00.39 Rob Finnerty 4:02.26 Reed Connor 4:03.38 Zach Mellon (5) 4:03.62 Austin Mudd WASHINGTON 16:04.99 3:58.51 James Cameron 4:00.53 Joey Bywater 4:02.32 Ryan Soberanis 4:03.63 Max O'Donoghue-McDonald (5) 4:04.54 Meron Simon NOTRE DAME 16:05.65 3:58.58 Jeremy Rae 4:00.31 J.P. Villanova possibilities: Hugo Beamish: 4:10 Alex Tully: 4:07 Joseph LoRusso: 4:06 Ryan Sheridan: 3:48 (1500m) Brian Long: 4:08 And if Marcus really wanted to win, he could pull the redshirt off of Rob Denault (3:45 1500) |

Arkansas also has freshman Patrick Rono, who, despite not having the same type of performance in an open event this year, did run 4:00ish on the DMR anchor this indoor season. |

I also wonder how many of these guys are in this kind of shape right now. Someone like Mac Fleet jumps to mind as having run that mark 2 years ago. How many of these other guys may not be the type of runner they are listed as in these rankings because they aren't currently at their best? |

Finnerty has not run the 4:00 times for a bit; of course the season is fairly young, especially up there. |

The point of the rankings is to show the potential not the actual results. It would be unfair to only use 2012 results becuase one could have had a bad 2012 indoor but is back to 2011 outdoor shape. In general it is amazing how many teams have miler depth to make for a very good 4xmile competition instead of one elite team against a bunch of good teams |

THIS^^^ Current Shape, you are dead on my friend. It might not be fair to only consider marks from 2012, but 2010 is a bit too far back to be brought into consideration. |

First leg needs to run. If the first legs can run in the 4:00-4:02 range rather than the typical 4:06-4:08, the record is going down. |
