Currently in the process of destroying some of Europe's best athletes in Dublin 10km. He is MILES clear of solid athletes like Lamdassen, Chema Martinez and Daniele Meucci. Looking majestic, the main man is back with a BANG.

How many miles are they back? 6?
27:51 roughly for bekele, breaks the course record by 45 seconds or so. This is a tough course with lots of hills and looked very windy. He beats lamdassen by about 55 seconds, meucci by about 60 and jesus espana by over 90. Looks like we have a new favourite for the distance events in London.
After this weekends performances, 2 things:
- BEKELE IS BACK
- Webb is not
Bekele in his wildest dreams could never run a double that slow

You do realize this is a hilly road 10k right?
Has Bekele given up on the track to become a road whore?
He said in post-race interview that he'll next run 3000m in doha diamond league. Should be interesting to see how his wheels are versus what is likely to be a solid field of 7:30ish kenyans.

No, we have the same favourite. If you didn't think that Bekele was going to win the 10000m this year, you don't know much about running.

Right. A healthy Bekele always was the number one favorite.

Hands up if you're going to win Olympic gold

Early season prep , no x-country this year , normal for him to run something like this.
What a badass. I love a good comeback story, and with guys like Wariner and Webb continuing to look like mere shadows of their former selves, it's nice to see a legend like Bekele get back in there and kick some ass.
Bekele smiles!
That's a nice change to see.

Yeah he was never really in question in my mind.
How the heck is an American supposed to medal in the distance events.

Instead of going to college, they should have been training. Their own fault. They made their decision.
