Powell didn't really even try, what a gomer. The good news is that Bolt was cruising, and that nobody seems to be injured. |

Actually, Powell's early-mid acceleration looks devastating. If he could just put together one more race in the final in London, he will medal, and could very well win. I love/hate Powell. |

Bolt looked good, but I think he seemed to be striding it out a bit too much, too much glide, not enough turnover...but that's splitting hairs. He is unbelievable. To me, Powell looked a bit choppy at speed. |

Powell has never figured it out. What a shame. I'll confess I was thinking that just maybe Bolt would start that fade, knowing he has a lazy rep. I did question his intensity, commitment. While I never put too much in "a" race and especially these early season outings, he looked great. |

Thanks for the vid and analysis, Sprintgeezer. I just thought Blake raced against much lesser opponents, although he ran 9.9. Bolt goes against Powell (well, he really messed up the take-over a bit). And he was not just holding the advantage from the start, but was going away at the finish line. Like we know him. Blake is good. But not so good.^^ |
