Thanks for the link. But this is actually not the photo I was thinking of. He is running directly on the side of the road in the photo I was referring to, and it was a close up, giving the reader an incredible feel of his lithe yet powerful figure. I recall attached article describing the level of poverty to which he was subject as a child, and that his mother supported the family by selling potatoes at the side of a road. I suspect the photo you linked was from the same photographer, so thanks for the find. I will keep searching. |

Also, based on the live feed it seemed like this fall wiped out two of the top Kenyans, hence our silver. But this photo indicates that tumble gave zero advantage to our guys: The Kenyan involved won the race, and the other was Ugandan (which I didn't realize on the live feed, their uniforms being so similar). |
