okay so it is spring break and i decided to go do some training by myself. my school was closed so i had to go to the nearest public track. the track was very hard (eff you piedmont high school, you piss me the eff off) i was wearing my matumbos and i could feel the horse shoe plate on the bottom of my feet (i don't wear socks). and the plastic horseshoe plate didn't even go into the track. is it supposed to be like this?

I dont see much difference between a hard track and running on the road. Therefore, my speed work is done very cautiously on a track. The main advantage is that there is no traffic to worry about. I like to run on the infield grass and confine my running/speed work to that area.
