Did a workout on Tuesday..Have not raced in over three years, but I have been hitting 90-120 mile weeks for about 9 months. I am currently 27 years old. When I was 22 I ran a 28:48 10k on the track.
Workout was 5 x 1 mile (full mile btw) with 1 minute rest.
The first mile was a comfortable, little slow based on effort- 4:44
The second mile felt way harder- 4:35
Third mile was even worse then the second- 4:39
Fourth mile I actually felt good. 4:37
Fifth mile felt close to all out. 4:28
What shape am I in for a fast road 5k in two weeks?
