I don't know. But Twisted Pelvis would be a cool punk band name. |

Me too. Weights to straiten your body out. Ground work, yoga. Basically? Stretching. Hope this helps. |

Thanks Rick. Started back up running this week after a few weeks (mostly work-related) layoff. Enjoyed Camille's posts on (basically) LSD, but nonetheless, jump-started fitness already with three 10 to 15x150m @ slightly faster than mile date pace, and the left hip/back nerves were singing in the most recent session last night. Ate a bunch of fat last night afterwards and recovering in a lazy fog on this Good Friday today. Was inspired to do exactly as you say--pelvic-core stretching--soon after I posted earlier. Been walking, and maybe a 5-7miler later. Ciao. |

I have a bad case of scoliosis and my pelvis is twisted and tilted so my right leg is longer. Inhad fusion surgery when i was a kid. I have problems with pain in my right hip/lower back from it. I see a chiropractor every few weeks to help me loosen the back muscles, hamstrings and hip flexors. He uses some electronic stimulation and ultrasound that really helps. Other than that he has me doing a lot of core work like planks and stuff with a physically. I stretch a lot after runs and that seems to help a ton. It is a constant battle though. Good luck. |

Thanks for sharing Bro; said a prayer for you. I can relate to a lot of it except for the fusion, but mine is the left back/hip. That side has an inherent weakness, and just seems to not catch up with the right, in terms of strength, but nonetheless pipes up with nerve zingers to let me know it's there. I'm hoping some devoted time to body work and mileage will get it to even out and settle down; a constant battle. |
