What should my race strategy be for my first 5k race on the track tomorrow? I did a workout earlier this week: 6x800 with very slow 400 jog (3-3:30) in 2:50, 2:55, 2:55, 2:56, 2:53, 2:53 (I thought rests were too long but it wasn't up to me). Should I aim to go out in about 88/lap and try to hold on? Any strategies?
