LawXC, the issue is, this is YOUR definition of the "american dream." your definition and KHANNOUCHI'S american dream are, obviously, two separate worlds. by this we prove that hersch is simply trying to impose HIS desires on someone else's life. that's lame and, if you want to play that game, it's rather "un-american." this is why so many are up in arms about phil, b/c his criticism of KK is based on his own (biased) perception of what KK "should" have done in his career. dude~ |

I must agree that Mr. Hersch's article in response to Khalid's retirement puts Phil solidly in the A** catagory. Thanks and best of luck to Khannouchi after an amazing career! ps: This is my first post on LetsRun message boards after 10+ years regular reading. I could do without reading another word from Hersch. |

I don't get Hersh and some others suggest that KK skipped the Games for monetary gain. KK had a good shot at winning the Olympics in 2004. If he had won, wouldn't he have made a ton of money off that? |

Hersh has written plenty of positive stuff. For one example, read his columns about about Lukas Verzbicas. Hersh is a solid reporter and one of the few left who has a spine. |
