Once again you give us the edited version. Why are you leaving out the part I have quoted twice for you? |

Once again you have failed to provide a proper quote. Enter the first part of the quote into Google and you'll find it. http://www.beatlesinterviews.org/dba06soul.html http://www.beatlesbible.com/songs/norwegian-wood-this-bird-has-flown/ http://www.beatleswiki.com/wiki/index.php/Norwegian_Wood_%28This_Bird_Has_Flown%29 Keep trying dude. |

RC, those are FACTS that you are using. They won't work on this guy. Trust me, I've tried. His opinion is all that matters. |

Keep trying dude. Your opinion is all that matters. Provide some links proving your version is the only true and correct one. |

You must realize that you just corroborated my point. Each of those links contains the quote I twice provided earlier. You know, the one you conveniently edited out of your posts. The one where Lennon says the song was about AN affair he had. Thanks for making my point. |

Lennon said: ...But I can't remember any specific woman it had to do with. You didn't read the quote to the end. It is rather important to the entire quote. |

I prefer the Dylan version;) http://youtu.be/irTw5mU_n4Y |

To Knowing She Would and Blind Lemon Chicken Life is very short, and there's no time For fussing and fighting, my friend. I have always thought that it's a crime, So I will ask you once again. Try to see it my way, Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong. While you see it your way There's a chance that we might fall apart before too long. |

I read it. Did you read the part I cited? How do account for that. At the very least, he contradicted himself. But it seems apparent his last sentence was an act of discretion. Can you blame him? |

Yes, Bob Dylan did parody Norwegian Wood. It was his playful warning to Lennon about the Beatles making the lyrics to a song more important than the melody itself: Dylan's trademark. |

Yes, Lennon was obscure about what the song was really about. Nothing new about that at all. My original post stated the song had several meanings. It always did and it always will: Just as Lennon intended. |
| Huh? |
| ||
How do you know what Lennon intended? |

Uh, no. Q: "What did you think of Dylan's version of 'Norwegian Wood'?" A: "I was very paranoid about that. I remember he played it to me when he was in London. He said, 'What do you think?' I said, 'I don't like it.' I didn't like it. I was very paranoid. I just didn't like what I felt I was feeling - I thought it was an out-and-out skit, you know, but it wasn't. It was great. I mean, he wasn't playing any tricks on me. I was just going through the bit." |

I must be missing something, Dylan's version is trash to me. The Beatles are amazing. I spent most of yesterday (no pun intended) listening to Beatles' songs on Youtube - so many great songs. |

The first song that made me take the Beatles seriously was "Yesterday". Prior to that, they seemed like a boy band to me. "How To Get You Into My Life" rocked. They picked up speed real fast, "Strawberry Fields" set a new standard for pop music and by the time "Hey Jude" came out, it was game over. Even the rocking version of "Revolution" was fresh. "A Day In the Life", though, was, to me, their single best song. But, of course, that's nothing more than one man's opinion, not a fact. |
| Wow Unbelievable |

The title is "Got to Get You Into My Life" |

Huh? Same as your friend who claims he knows exactly who the subject of the song. Should be obvious even to a troll like yourself. |

Dylan's trademark is that words dominate in a song more than the music. |

What is obvious to me is that you don't know what you're talking about. |
