Yo go girl! That is awesome of Semehar! I think it's great that these Kenyan women (and men) are able to come to the U.S. to be star runners and students. Throughout our history, America's greatest strengths have been because of our immigrants, all the way back to the revolutionary war. The educational opportunities these women (and men) are getting in the U.S. is going to open many more doors for them and help more of society (both in the U.S. and back in Kenya) than their running will. Just because you are not born in the U.S. does not make you any less American. |
