Sick kick for Batty.
Flood about 5 seconds back and tracks down Kesselring,Maier, Palmer, and Kroeger. 64 last lap...outkicked the 800 national champ! Awesome, awesome race.

I had Flood in 4:29, but the announcer said 4:31, we'll see if there is a more definitive split. In any case she is ridiculously consistent at this level and kicked down last year's 800 outdoor champion and current #2 miler in Kesselring.
Flood is becoming almost unbeatable at the college level right now.
too much hype she will suck on a 200 meter track, too beefy.
husky juicing!
Yeah, she looked horrible in that last turn going inside and blowing by Kesserling...
BTW, Dempsy track is flat. Banked turns on a 200m track will suit a strength runner like Flood. She looks effortless and in control of her run at all times.
is Hasay sitting out this meet, entirely? I don't see her name on any heat sheets.
Does anyone have the official splits for both races?
"Unofficial" split for Katie: 4:28.8, which puts Kesselring around 4:32-ish, or close to where they were in the open mile two weeks ago. Flood mentions that she may have gone too hard the first 400:

Also, Derrick split 3:57 unofficially for his first sub-4:00 equivalent. Batty looked to split 3:57-8.
So Derrick makes it official with a 3:59 today but Madonado of Long Beach St (wtf?) beats the Stanford cartel:
1 Maldonado, Matt Long Beach St. 3:59.08 10
2 Derrick, Chris Stanford 3:59.13 8
3 Stutzman, Tyler Stanford 4:01.23 6
4 Atchoo, Michael Stanford 4:03.29 5

Is there an interpreter in the house?
Which part wasn't clear? BYU wins men's DMR at MPSF conference in 9:29. Stanford's Chris Derrick runs a 3:56-ish anchor leg to get his team second in 9:30. In the women's race, Washington's Katie Flood caught and passed Oregon's Anne Kesselring in the homestretch to win in 10:55.01; Flood's split was 4:33 [But this seems to be incorrect -- others in the thread are saying 4:29ish, while Kesselring was 4:33ish.] Deborah Maeir anchored Berkeley to a 3rd place finish and BYU took fourth in a time of 11:00.
