Same place our female 100M WC is. Training. Kersee people ran some indoors this year but a lot of the pros in LA don't compete at all until Mt. Sac or later. "Show me the money." |

UCLA. Kersee is a volunteer assistant at UCLA, which allows WCE to continue training there. HSI was kicked off the UCLA track a few years ago because John Smith was no longer involved with the UCLA track team, and they ended up moving to WLACC. From the strange but true side, Valerie Brisco (you might remember her as Brisco-Hooks), the 200 & 400 gold medalist in '84 and Kersee's assistant, has been coaching CROSS COUNTRY at WLACC. |

Brisco was married at the time of 1984, later divorced and reverted to her original name. Kersee also came to UCLA from CS Northridge, where he won two D1 national championships in the late 1970's. |

Yes, but he didn't just waltz into UCLA and start winning championships. He paid his dues and coached several small track clubs in the area before getting to CS Northridge. |
