Damn, Walker 16 years after his epic run against Bayi! Sucks that he got tangled.
Yeah, Elliot looked pretty dismissive of that field.
love these videos, where are you getting them all from? is there a directory someplace?
Poor Elliot, the forgotten British runner in a period where Coe, Cram and Ovett ruled.
He is actually 3rd on Britain’s all time 800 list with a 1.42.97.
A sufferer of continual injury problems, his subsequent fortune would have been changed overnight had he not been injured at the 88 Olympics.
As it was, he still won the silver behind Rono in the 1500 final, only able to run the semi and the final with the assistance of cortisone injections.
Elliott, a true blue collar runner!
The NBC/ESPN guys should have to watch hour after hour after hour of that announcer until they can get it right. He called the race and didn't give us any useless info as the race was developing. THEN- he calls the runners as the cross line in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ...
Great video thanks for posting!
That announcer is David Coleman from the BBC, a long-time athletics announcer. One of the very best at describing a race.
