Tasted bland, like usual. I made a batch three nights ago, and I'm just now finishing it off.
It's not delicious, but it sure is cheap!
What did you have for lunch?

black beans
banana w/ peanut butter
waiting for one of those 1% to come in here and "show us up"
let me tell you wrote:

That sounds disgusting, man. Props to you for eating that to save money.

THAT'S THE SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't you hear? Junk food is cheaper. Don't eat that healthy-but-pricey beans and rice - go to McDonald's and save some money. Even if it isn't as healthy and filling, a Big Mac, large fries and a large Coca Cola should save you a few bucks. They also have wonderful options for breakfast, such as the Egg McMuffin.
I think there's a doughnut in a box on a table in my office. I'm going to find it and eat it. It's heart shaped, covered in powdered sugar, and filled with custard. I will drink coffee too.
Yum.
Same as you :(
Footlong veggie from subway.
Baked BBQ Lays
Unsweet tea
Package of Kashi oatmeal
3 pieces of gum
2 packs of Swiss Miss marshmallow-lovers hot chocolate
My rice 'n' beans wasn't enough. I was still hungry, so I went down to the vending machine and got some Utz Kettle Chips, regular flavor. only $0.85.
Damn1t, I love kettle chips so much.
While McD's is cheap, it can't possibly be cheaper than rice 'n' beans. 1 huge bag of rice is like $5, and that makes like 60 cups of cooked rice! Black beans are > $1 for a can.
That's a lot of calories, bro.
I'm going to hop on the RnB wagon for a hot minute. I'll need to pick up a bottle of Texas Pete or Crystal as well.
Which beans are your favorite?
Which rice do you like?
Beans and Rice (black beans and long grain brown rice) With corn, a little grilled chicken breast tender, and some peppers
BUT
I drizzled some jerk sauce on it (Jamaican Jerk, not what you're thinking you sick-os) and that really spiced it up and added different flavors. Sweet and sour sauce is another good one to make the ordinary extraordinary. Or just hot sauce.
I never eat breakfast or lunch. Therefore they are free.

Black beans are HOW MUCH GREATER than a dollar for a can.
2, 5, 20? what is it?

On the next episode of "White Trash in Trouble!"...
Canned beans? You sound wealthy. Bulk dried black beans for me.
