"African-Americans For Obama" And this isn't racist?!

Both parties have been talking about courting the Latino vote for the last 3 or 4 elections. Racism? Yeah maybe, but when people benefit from racism they tend to overlook it.

it wouldn'e matter if he were OJ Simpson, or Buckwheat, if the presidential candidate is black, the blacks will vote for whoever it is.

Perfect example: Marion Barry.

He won't be re elected, it just won't happen. His first election was by no means a landslide. He won by barely the margin Democrats typically lose by, which is a fair representation of blacks that never bother voting. Of this group that got out to vote, strictly because the candidate was black, only a small percentage of them will get off their arses and do it again, mostly because the are not smart enough to understand why he won the first time and just assume he'll win again.

I worked for a Dem PAC that had Obama as a signer, and we were fairly close to his actual presidential campaign. Believe me, much sweat was wiped off many brows, and it was the awful truth that every knew but nobody spoke of.

He is selecting a single group of people purely based on skin color and appeals to them. That = Racism!

No, that does not equal racism. Racism is the idea that one race of people is inherently superior/inferior to another. Trying to get their vote does not suggest that at all.

they don't get a job- racism!

they don't win a contest, get a mortgage due to bad credit, or get an "A" for an 83 - racism, racism, racism.

how in the world would he lose the black vote? you are right that this was a stupid campaign. lets face it, there isn't a lot of reason for dems to court the black vote in general.

He isn't anymore black than he is white. He is half and half.

Recognizing culturally and genetically linked groups is not racism. Racism is holding up their racial differences as the most important factor in deciding who an individual is and they can be.
