It's good to see Desi rejecting the Nike USA jacket in all of the post race photos. It was definitely not by mistake, and they had one for every olympian. I hope Hall and especially Meb did the same thing.

She wore Nike gear in the race? At least her tops and bottoms. Is she sponsored by them? I know she left Salazar but I'm confused.

Yes, I'm confused, too, please fill us in.
Nike is the running opiate for the masses.
DESI (Desiree Davila) is sponsored by Brooks... not Nike thats why she didnt wear the Nike gear....
Sweet, now a bigger fan of Desi. I hope meb told Nike to suck it.
Too bad the national singlets are sponsored. Guys like hall have to wear the nike singlet during the most followed race of 4 years. The IOC should let people put their sponsorships logo on the singlet instead of having an entire country wear the same singlet.
Additionally, while on the trip representing a national team, the instructions explicitly state that you are not to wear any logos other than Nike. In other words, all the clothing you wear should either have no logo or should have a Nike logo on it (excluding shoes). Obviously not wearing the jacket for publicity shoots post race will prove to be nothing but a symbolic gesture as she won't be wearing much Brooks gear in London.
lol'ed
If she wanted too, could she tape over or otherwise cover up the Nike logo on the USA uniform? Or is that not allowed?
For the 1992 Olympic Dream Team in basketball, Adidas was the official sponsor and the uniforms were Adidas. Michael Jordan draped the American flag over his shoulder and used it to cover the Adidas logo above his left chest in all the celebratory photos because he was a Nike athlete.
You're basically right, but sponsor was Reebok, not adidas.
big f'ing deal. Nike pays to be the team sponsor. Athletes should wear the team gear other than shoes.
I don't wear nike shoes, but still want to point out that you people who are anti-nike running are a bunch of idiots. Nike has done more for running in the U.S. than any other company.
Lots of respect for Desi. Now if she'd only told USATF to f*** off with the American Flag bullshit.....

Cute. Especially given the kind of loyalty Nike is known for showing its athletes (e.g. Meb)

+1
It was Reebok. The clueless USOC bureaucrats were completely unprepared for professional athletes telling them to stick it. They couldn't threaten someone's amateur status anymore.
