Incidentally, the American collegiate in season record should be broken this year in the 800m (1:44.70 Mark Everett) and probably also Julius Achon's collegiate record of 1:44.55. Earl Jones ran 1:43.74 out of season (June 19, 1984) and that will be tough to beat.
