Robbie doesn't turn 19 until August. Split 1.51 through the 800m, a 2 second PR.
Wow! Surprisingly fast. Who is this dude, and what did he do in H.S.? I don't recall hearing much about him.
"Robbie Creese, who placed sixth in the 2011 Penn Relays mile, enjoyed an outstanding weekend at the Maryland State AA Championships this spring, turning in a victory in the 3200-meters, as well as second-place efforts in the 800- and 1600-meters. Indoors, Creese took home a trio of Maryland state titles, winning the 800, 1600, and 3200. He would also go on to finish 11th in the mile run at New Balance Indoor Nationals as a senior. Creese will make the trip to Happy Valley with personal bests of 1:54.00 in the 800, 4:10.60 in the mile run, and 9:17.28 for the 3200."

yea I saw that on his PSU bio and it doesn't sound like he was incredibly impressive in high school. He must really be developing well at Penn State

He's like the anti-Borchers.
How is this not the top story or on top right hand side of the page for board posts?
2:freakin 19!
Loxsom PRed in the 600 as well at 1:16.62. He improved dramatically as a freshman as well. Admittedly not as much as Creese appears to have,
Prediction: this name will be all over LetsRun for the next 4 years.
Since he seems to be more of a Miler, can he also take the indoor mile record this winter?
PSU mid distance had an unbelievable first meet. Can not imagine what kind of workouts they have been doing already. Anyone have an info on their training??

If I were a betting man I would say it involves some form of running but don't quote me on it. Success breads success man.
Is there a potential medley relay record breaking team somewhere in there?
That's pretty quick. Another top half-miler to add to the already outstanding group in the USA right now?

so your saying like the previous couple of years they will just fade away by March? non existent by June?
It doesn't actually seem like he's saying that, no.
Of course they haven't done any speedwork yet.
What was Foster's unofficial time? What was the DQ for?
American indoor junior records, not updated:
That still has Webb's 2:23, beaten by Robbie Andrews's 2:22 (both run in high school), and Andrews, not thought of as that kind of prospect at the time, turned into an incredible collegian. Creese's time is outstanding. McMillan calculator has a 2:19.0 equivalent to 1:46.4 800m, 3:55.9 mile and 7:48 3k (also 13:37 5k and 28:17).
Since no other NCAA runner in the entire history of the NCAA has ever run faster than that, then yes, it can be characterized as "pretty quick".
Now let's add the fact that this guy is still of junior age and he broke the US indoor junior record by about 4 seconds, then again, yes, that's pretty quick.
Finally, since this is his first ever track race as a collegian, then, yes again, it's pretty quick.
NO, IT'S AWESOME...
