this is what I'm looking for what site has the list???thx!
Not shocked by Trafeh but wow Meb K. running 2:07 pace with surging? The old man must be feeling it today.
Looks like Des wants to take the inside track and save some steps, whereas, Shalane wants to avoid the camber and stay out where the road is flatter. Shalane looks like she is biding her time, waiting for the race later.
Still a pack of 8 in the women's race. Davila, Hastings, Burla, Flanagan, Goucher, Kastor, McGregor and Bacon.

Ritz just stepped on a traffic cone and stumbled but is fine.
Trafeh has dropped off just before mile 15.
So we're down to Hall, Abdi, Ritz and Meb the 4 best marathoners in the field.

Belayneh Dinsamo fans rejoice!!
Anyone remember when the world record was 2:06:50 for 10 years? From 1988 to 1998. That was when I was 15-25 and just getting into running.
Nope, sorry
Didn't run from 84 to 02 so never heard of the guy.
Thanks for the info though

clea as day, watching that flailling right arm
50 Tyler McCandless 40:52
If there had been a poll asking how many people thought that 50th place a third of the way through the race would be on 2:13-high pace, I doubt more than one percent of serious respondents would have been on board.
Is the wind blowing out of the east?
Who gives a damn about the womens field? Last split was 5:48. Focus on the men and switch over to women when the mens race is finished. Thanks.
Many of us care, thanks. If the men's race was tactical and the women's fast, would you feel the same?
Any news from the chase pack? How far back are they?

25 guys were under 5 minute pace (2:11)
McCandles is a local here in Colorado. His PR is 2:17. Looks like he's having a big race!
I thought Mo would get in top 3, but just because he's so young and Meb and Abdi are getting up there in age, I was kind of hoping he wouldn't make it.
Trafeh looking ragged and falling off the back.
I do as well as a lot of others. Most of us are able to follow both races at the same time.
Women on 2:28 pace through 10 miles.
Men on 2:07:xx pace through 15 miles.

Wind is nearly calm, maybe light breeze from the east.
