Thank you so much Jim! Now on to the three day outlook...
Looking good, Maria
Your to kind :)
*blush*
Yesterday was flooding rain, tornados and severe thunderstorms. Can't imagine what would have happened if the weather was like that.
Only issue for the trials might be some breezy winds. Too hard to tell in advance. Temps will be ideal. Better be some fast times.
Highs near 59 is a little too hot. Best if the high was 50
Assuming they run the races in the morning, temps only forecast to be 50 at 11:00 a.m. Okay, cloudy and in the 40s would be perfect, but could be a whole lot worse.

If the trials are meant to simulate a marathon in an English summer, wouldn't those be almost ideal conditions?
I predict arm sleeves for Ryan Hall and Kara Goucher
there is no perfect weather for the trials. the people competing for the olympic spot are concerned with placing, not necessarily time. i'm sure some runners pushing for a top 5 were hoping for wind, cold, heat, etc, anything but ideal. some people, like me, prefer cold and rain for races when i am competing for a win. others, like frank shorter, hate racing in the rain. it's all just personal preference.
with the undisputed superior pr, hall benefits the most from ideal conditions. i think we've seen him at his best in great weather (boston 11 and trials 07) and at his worst in bad weather(olympics 08 and chicago 11). give that guy ideal conditions and it's an invitation for him to walk away from everyone else. but i think if the weather was particularly bad, that may completely change the game

Wasn't it raining when he ran his 59:43 half at Houston in '07?
