I think I would.
1. Hall likes to run his own race, so why not set the pace?
2. No one else in the race has a PR that fast, so he would take a lot of the 2:12-2:15 guys out of it early.
3. Even if he gets to 20 miles with three or four guys still hanging on, he's got a good chance of finishing strong enough to be in the top 3.
4. Running an even pace at sub-PR effort might take the least out of him for his recovery for the Olympics.
Does anyone see a downside?
