I think Solinsky would have as good a shot as Rupp, but there are only so many spots available. Could he do it? I think he loves doing long tempo runs. He'd have a chance for sure.

isn't 27:15 an unfit Solinsky?

No.
No, he would first have to start, and then finish, a race.
Solinskrap.

Dude had injury problems. Rupp has probably DNFed more times than Solinsky. Either way, you've probably dropped out of a 100m race before, perhaps when you hit the wall at 75m.

Don´t be impolite:-)

You are aware that he is the former AR holder in the 10k? He went BEAST MODE and broke 27.
That was actually pretty funny!
If you had said hitting the wall at the 120m mark of a 200, after going out too hard, you'd have been more accurate.
I've never dropped out of a 100, but I did tear a ham in the 200.
Totally incomparable, as I couldn't even walk.
Unlike Solinskrap.

Despite my brilliance, I don't understand how the question is even remotely pertinent.
i'm not that familiar with your choice of words, so i was just innocently wondering what your native language is
Yes, that day he somehow miraculously both started AND finished a race.
I have ZERO respect for the snivelly, whiney, Solinskrap of last year.
I haven't seen anything yet this year to make me change my mind, except that he was a no-show at the Rose Bowl...oh wait...

I bet Solinsky would beat you in a 400m race. In fact, I imagine you pulling a groin when you see his manliness.
Well, he would have to both start and finish the race, something he apparently finds exceedingly difficult.
Not a chance in hell for Solinsky. He will never be close to Rupp at the marathon or half.
3000 and down Solinsky has the edge.
5000 and 10000 are good matchups
Half and full marathon is not even close.

And the reason you know this is?

We know you'd have no problems finishing once you saw Solinsky in a singlet.

Just reading that last comment, I think I'm finished for the night.

I'm surprised it brought you to such a climax...

Anyone who has to ask lacks the requisite intelligence, perceptiveness, and/or knowledge of the sport to engage in a meaningful discussion on this topic.
