I thought Dave Milner was the new distance hire at ETSU. Did something change since early June?
HC-in-Waiting was let go, which leaves Milner twisting.

Twisting? He's dancing!?The four candidates have all been interviewed. Expect a decision on the head coach some time next week.

Why is everything taking Fooooooooooooooooorrrreeeeeeeever!?
These have been up for a while now. Any of these fill yet?
Illinois
Iowa
Missouri
Oklahoma
If they have any sense, especially at this stage of the summer, they will stick with Milner. He's seems to be doing a nice job with the kids. Also, he had nothing to do with the HC-to-be being fired, so he deserves the opportunity.
The one caveat to this is that nothing in the program, for a while now, has been done with common sense.
any word on the concordia Oregon job? They have had a very successfull program.
me thinks the old assistants should be sprucing up the ol' resumes. Distance coach for head, fill in jumps/multis and throws assistants. Keeping Sprints coach, best thing going for that group.
Has OSU replaced Chris Neal yet? Karen Dennis is listed as the head coach on the website. Is she really going to coach cross country?

Karen was always the "Head Cross Country Coach". This is typical at most programs, where the distance coach is the "assistant".
Russ Rogers was the "Head Cross Country Coach" during most of Coach Gary's tenure.
Some big programs still do not have distance coaches and it is almost August!!
What is going on at?
Illinois
Ohio State
North Carolina
Stanford
Maryland
Iowa State
Missouri
Any news on any of these?
I heard Coach Dennis had someone on campus earlier this week?
Camp starts in 2 weeks. How in the world do these programs not have coaches yet?
The only ones suffering are the student athletes!
Illinois hired Kennedy and he coached one year???
I ran at Illinois years ago and I'm not sure why they wouldn't look at someone like Coach McCraven. He cared about his athletes and worked well with everyone. He ran at North Central (Div 3). Why don't they look for a proven coach (D1, D2, D3 or NAIA) that would stick around for a while?
I fill really bad for the young runners at Illinois. They have no idea who their coach is going to be....why the wait? I'm sure there have been very good applicants.
You do know that Wendel left Illinois for Texas A & M. Not sure he'd want to come back unless they were interested in making him Head CC and Track.
Someone "like" Wendel! Not Wendel himself!!!
I don't think there is anyone quite like Mac Daddy, but I catch your drift.

Mllner can coach, and he's a strong recruiter. So are the other two (out of three?) I know interviewed for the job. ETSU has plenty of assets and is situated in a decent recruiting area for most events including distance, sprints, and horizontal jumps. They got two very good female vaulters out of Tim Mack's HS group, too. And the ex phys program is top notch, so the potential for testing athletes and programming from that is huge. I don't see why it couldn't be an excellent all around program.
Anyone have any information on the UNC-Greensboro posting? Why did there Assistant leave?

Many assistants have left in the past 2-3 years. Must not be a good situation.
