Not necessarily. Throws are complex and time consuming. They also yield some of the highest improvement rates of any of the events. Athletes in the distances and the throws have much more room for improvement then in the sprints because their genetic ceiling is not as low. |

In many places, one of the throws coaches also works with the combined events. Also, as far as logistics goes, it does make sense. |

the thought is that harlis will be more of a ceo type head coach - be more of a point man w/ logistics - i would assume he would be a big recruiter for the program the interesting thought there is that unc only had 4 or 5 full time coaches - i know it wasn't 6 - i know for a long time it was 4 full time and 1 with no benefits if they gave him six full time coaches i can see it - if it is 4 or 5 it seems like a stretch to have a head coach who doesn't coach on the track Harlis is a sharp guy so I am sure he has a well thought out plan |
