Anybody have word on ohio state??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Anybody have word on ohio state??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Yep. The view on OSU is that it's the weekend, it's father's day and no one at OSU is worried about track jobs over the weekend there. Who announces track hirings on a weekend? Relax and I'm sure u will hear something this week.
who is filling out the staff at ole miss? they are the only school so far to hire a head coach (unc, ohio state, kentucky still searching). what events will brian o'neal coach and who else will he bring in? anybody on the current staff staying?
Anyone else notice Ole Miss was only asking for a 2 year degree for their assistant opening?
Any word on the assistant positions at Wake Forest and Virginia?
About 2-3 weeks. Theres a whole bunch of big time jobs for women out there not officially posted. You just have to know people. Little or no experience needed too. It's crazy easy for women.
When will we know the decision from Georgia for Norton and his staff?
That means Kentucky Coach to Ole Miss
Amazed that this hasn't gotten out. Rebecca Wilmes leaving Missouri. Would this allow Joe Lynn to Coach both?
So I'm assuming this means Detmer is out. Is she taking another position or is CAL "going a different direction"?
Why would Norton and Staff get fired? who the hell spreads this dumb rumors?? they had their best year in the last 5 years..give us some facts that show Norton should get fired..
Pigg is gone...
Cal is staying in the same direction hence another young female coming in.
Detmer is going in a different direction. She did a great job helping Sandoval get that womens program going.
What's going on at Florida with the jumps position? I've heard a couple names, but you never know what's true.

This is whats very wrong with the NCAA and the college coaching system. Gender shouldn't be an issue, it should be about your passion for coaching and wanting to be a successful coach, not you being a young pretty girl who looks good in short khaki shorts and a stop watch on your neck.
Agreed 100%
PS MagicJ you sound borderline creeper.
There are some hot young female coaches out there tho!
UGA Distance,
Can you confirm Pigg is gone? Where is he going?

Weird, seeing as I've applied to 30+ jobs this Spring and have only gotten 1 interview. Even though I have a "unisex" first name, I always click on the "female" box on the optional forms, because I do realize that being a female distance coach has its advantages over men. However, even with my experience-filled resume & references higher up on the NCAA chain, I'm not going to agree with the first post saying it's "crazy easy for women." Just a heads up for any fellow female out there trying to get a job that is as frustrated as I am.
It's not just the NCAA/college coaching system looking for diversity. You'll find that in any job market. The times of the white-male domination of the work force is over. Employers are looking for the most qualified and if it comes down to 2 potential employees that are similarly qualified, they're going to go with the more diverse option (female, black, Hispanic, whatever). There are percentages that have to be met. Sorry white boys (especially you skinny distance boys dreaming of being distance coaches, good luck!).
STOP with the crazy rumors, Pigg is not gone from UGA
