The young dude? Hasn't he only been there a year or two and now he's head? Thought the jumps guy had been there longer, bet that office environment isn't awkward at all

Who is Stan Rosenthal?
AND why is he a troll?
What is a troll anyway??
D. Anderson is not leaving TCU, he has a great thing going there.
I guess Joe Franklin of New Mexico will be heading home to Purdue?Joe has been renting in New Mexico since 2009 and waiting on this to happen.....

First off why would Joe want to go back to Purude? They are horrible with a quite bad administration. And look at the salaries, bottom of the Big 10. You would think that the administration would be sick and tired of sucking, year in and year out, but they do not have a clue. Unless they are willing to put some serious capital into the program it will continue to be an up and down (mostly down) program that can not compete in the Big10. I'm not sure any top coach would want to take that program other than it is Big 10 school. And word on the street is that the present assistant coaching staff has to be kept on. While thats a very nice thing to do for them it might not be a good idea for success. What top coach would want to come in and have to keep someone elses staff?
And last I heard Joe has owned a house in abbbycuekey for quite a few years. Get your story straight.
This will be a coveted job. You will be surprised who will apply!
Any word on who got the ND assistant gig?
Joe did run and graduate from Purdue. He is perhaps the only guy that could fix the mess. Many coaches are required to keep the staff for a year, then fire them later.
University of Dayton (OH) Women's XC/Asst. Track job just opened up. Not sure what happened to Sarah, but could be an interesting entry level job.
Has anyone heard the status of the head coaching position at Penn?
Any D-I head coaching job is not entry level. LOL, there are not that many jobs out there.
Joe Franklin wont go back to Purdue as he is ticked they still didn't hire him last time.
Connie Price-Smith, Southern Illinois and Elvis Ford, Illinois State, have been two names floating around the Big Ten as possible replacements for Purdue. An African-American female Coach is always hard to pass up.
Dayton is looking for a female head Coach, sorry guys!
Does Gary keep his job at Furman?

Joe already has a better job than Purdue.
The post about keeping the staff I have heard 3rd or 4th hand. But Jack had a similar situation, in keeping the previous staff. Unless you felt Jack, alone, was 99% of the problem, why would you keep the staff?
FYI - Jack wasn't 99% of the problem. The entire infastructure of the program from the administration on down all contribute to the problem. But why would anyone want to spend year 1 of a re-building project with a staff they don't want? Year 1 is the most important year and to have a staff that knows they won't be back? That is an administration that doesn't care about being successful.
Then Albert Tuner at Notre Dame, should be considered...

A. Thanks smartass. I'm so glad you could enlighten us all with your brilliance.
B. I didn't mean entry level as in no one who has ever coached before, but it could be an entry level type for someone looking to go D-I for the first time (from the NAIA or lower NCAA divisions).
Also, the U of Wyoming job just opened up as well.
Did they fill the Amherst job?
anybody know anything about the SUNY jobs open at Purchase and Genesco?
I guess if you are referring to entering the DI level then yes. However, a person is not going to get a DI job without already having coaching experience. There are plenty of good jobs out there that are not DI, including High School. With the number of Head Coaching jobs out there (very few) I just don't think that a job at Dayton is entry level. To me entry level would be a High School coach or an assistant coaching job before you become a head coach, that job will not be someone's first coaching job.
Who will get the Neosho University job?
So who was the "super hire" that got the job at SCSU? For such a big name, nothing has been in the press about a job that was filled on 5/6.
