Stay tuned. It will happen either after the regionals, if no one qualifies, or after the NCAA - after no one scores.

Good news, the men moved up to 90th right behind WKy and Appy State!!
What is SJSU's plan for XC? A coach who won't be around when the students he recruits graduate. A coach whose success in the NCAA is with international students. Where is the money coming from to get international students scholarships? If SJSU didn't have football, would women's track even exist? UGHH
Any update on the Ohio State job following a lackluster performance at the Big 10 meet?

They are now searching for the head position and will go for the distance one after the head job is filled (might be a distance guy, but not too likely, there are not many of them at programs that are not primarily distance schools -- Minn is an exception, and SP is an alum, as was Gary).
New jobs just opening.
Wyoming (Head Job)
WVU (Distance Assistant)
Eastern Kentucky (Distance Assistant)
Liberty (Distance Assistant)
UNC-Greensboro (Head Distance)
Cornell (Distance Assistant)
Western Washington (Assistant)
It sounds like someone's mad he didn't get the job, or more than likely even an interview.Anyone who knows anything about SJSU isn't shocked by this and would be totally shocked if they actually did have a plan to make XC good. The administration doesn't care about XC and it only exists to dump women's scholarships into to help balance out their awful football team and all the money they waste on it. They have a ton of scholarship money and WANT to recruit more international athletes. So they got an alum with ties to the golden era, international recruiting experience, and how can't make the team any worse than they were under Augie. The SJSU women could be a very good program but it's simply not a priority there.

UNC-Greensboro is not listed anywhere. Why would you say it is an opening? Is this accurate?
curtis frye?
(puffs cigar)
It appears all of John Frazier's one on one private meetings with JJ Clark are not working?Frazier tried to do the same thing at the University of Arizona and the boss man said no more meetings unless the rest of the staff is included.

Curtis to TN? I doubt that. I would, as I said, just go back to a split program and go from there.
The poster probably means the distance assistant at UNCG

Why did the guy get fired/leave? He was finally having some success (if you can count taking the easy way out and buying Kenyans success)? I heard there was some sketchy stuff going on with regards to getting Chelimo into school...
The head coach is the distance coach and he's not going anywhere.

Not sure how recruiting Chelimo is buying a recruit? They gave a scholarship to the best talent that was interested in the school. Plus do you really think a place like UNCG has administrators who care enough about track to cheat ("sketchy stuff") to get him him? Getting admitted, getting progress towards degree and transfer hours are different at different schools. Just because one school couldn't get him eligible does mean another school had to cheat to get him in. Maybe Ling and UNCG compliance was just smarter than the places who couldn't get him in???
You might also want to take a look at their TFRRS list for men and women and you'll see many American names doing well, especially for the women. For those that know Ling he has worked very hard at a place that supports him very little. Give the guy some respect.
Furthermore, anyone who's tried recruiting Kenyans, it ain't that easy...

If you pay them, they will come! I'm glad it's hard. My tax dollars should be going to giving American kids a proper education.
The great Jack Warner resigned just the other day at Purdue University.
JACK WARNER OUT AT PURDUE. HEAD COACHING JOB UP FOR GRABS IN THE BIG TEN.
Is this going to be posted? What about the rest of the staff?
