Wow, great hire for Clemson if the source is really "credible". Stanford will be naming the new heir in the next week. Some will be surprised. Good for Cardinal national though.
Ray Appenheimer to Stanford! Interesting hire at best.

Source?
Interesting candidates at Stanford from what I hear. They spoke with Portland and Iowa State coaches, along with Georgetown and Oregon. Someone said that they also interviewed the woman sprint coach from UCLA. Quite different mixture of coaches. Also heard thru the vine that a couple of other head coaches who have top 10 programs applied but never even got a call. Anyone know who is actually doing the interviewing and calling?
Joe Karlgaard is heading the search. He was at Oberlin with Ray Appenheimer.
I also heard the Columbia coach.
Got to hand it to Vin "helping" with the job search if Appenheimer is indeed the coach. Very shrewd of vin to go with dark horse with little experience at that level to make Stanford is no threat to his Ducks.
Ant ivy league coach that has made nationals as a team or Beth Alford would be great hires.
Hawaii opening?
Marc Mangiacotti leaves Brown for Harvard to an assistant position.

Where did Kebba go?
You can count on visits from me and my bikini if you get the Hawaii job ;D
Who would you say are the best pick ups for a program so far this summer?
I ran with the guy at Stanford who is in charge of the search. His bio says he helped Vin win some championships when he was just a secretary.
He's a liar
He was also hired by Vin at Oberlin. Wandering who called those shots.?
ALSO interesting: This Kargaard guy put the team massage theapist on the search committee, who happened to run for Vin at Dartmouth. What a cluster there.
Very true big timers never got a call!
Who gave him this position?
I even called the ex staff and they said they had seen him but never even met the guy, or seen him at a single meet since hired at Stanford.
Oberlin, really? It has to be a joke.
I don't think Coach Eskind has been picked up yet. I believe he coached the top U.S. female triple jumper for the last two Olympics. It would behoove Stanford to hire a world-renowned jumps coach for their staff.
I couldn't agree more.
Revering to Floreal as a "world renowned jumps coach" is pushing it a bit.
Unless you ask him.
I didn't think Adler was referring to the director position or Floreal.

"World renowned jumps coach". In the US that would be Tellez, Booth, Pfaff, Schnexayder, Gregoire, Huntington, and now Reider and Fischer. Coaching an athlete to win the Olympic Trials in the women's TJ is a great accomplishment, but hardly "world renowned". Takes a lot more than that to get that kind of recognition.
