Who is the largest person who have ever come in direct contact with? If you don't know a name, as in a football player or Sumo wrestler, what was this person's estimated size and girth.
There are some biguns out there, so post 'em up!

Ralph Sampson--dude is huge.
Not sure about heaviest. Known a few dudes well over 400 lbs.
A guy who threw shot on my high school track team is now a d-lineman for the Atlanta Falcons, listed over 300lbs!
Biggest guy I can think of that I know
Major fata** in the seat next to me on a plane. Fortunately they were able to reseat him out of the middle seat next to me.
I saw Danny Schayes at an antiques show once. The whole room was full of little old ladies, so the one 6'-11" NBA player kind of stuck out.
There was also a 6'-11 guy on my dorm floor in college- I don't remember his name, but when we celebrated the RA's birthday by throwing him in the pond on campus, this guy was very useful.
A neighbor of mine was pretty big. Like, she-had-to-buy-two-dresses-and-have-them-sewn-together big.
yo mama
Heavyweight lifter and Olympian Paul Anderson is most likely the biggest guy I met.
I've been in the lockerroom of the NYJets and NY Giants so that mass of mass would be my most massive meet-up.
I'm thinking a cab ride flanked by NYJets players Randy Rasmussen(sp?) and Joe Klecko in the back seat and Gerry Philbin up with the driver might be my all time big guys in one car thing.
My impression of Matt Snell- Wow that guy is thick!
not just big but chest to back thick. I think he only went 6'1" 220 so not BIG by football standards but all I can remember is wow he is thick.
missed my really really obese chance-
Growing up my doctor told me of treating a woman of over 600 pounds that lived on my block. She never left her apartment so I never saw her. She died while I was in the service and was told it took firemen, police and ambulance guys better part of a day to get the corpse down the stairs. Rumor on the block is they ripped the skin off her back trying to squeeze her out the apartment door.
I was in on a gastric bypass for a women with a bmi of 72 at 5'6~450lbs. Biggest I've ever seen was working as an orderly right after college. We got a page saying "guys, we need lots of guys" so of course everyone ran over to see how big this man was. I think his listed weight was ~550bs.
Rushed the field after a college football game and somehow ended up standing right next to the backup center on the basketball team who was about 6'10, 275. I was eye level with his sternum.
My sister's boyfriend is 6'8. He's the biggest person I see on any sort of a regular basis. He used to throw the disc pretty far, surprise surprise.
I helped a group of about 8 nurses move a guy just over 800 pounds from the ambulance to a hospital bed. Later that night (was working the ER/urgent care overnight shift) saw one of them with a low-back strain from her efforts. He was in our facility for a long time.
In med school, we had a woman who exceeded the weight limit for the CT scanner (300 pounds on that model)- so someone had the bright idea to call the zoo, to see if we could use their scanner, which supposedly went to 500 pounds. The zoo people told me very nicely that their scanner had the same limit, and that the got about 1 call/week asking the same question.
Now getting plus-sized hospital equipment is a burgeoning business...
When Solinsky lapped me, I could feel his wake.
Went to college with Haloti Ngata and Igor Olshansky who are NFL lineman. Haloti is 6'5 345, just a monster of a man, but moves like someone much smaller and agile. Igor is 6'5 315 but has arms like tanks. Had classes with both, so met them and saw them a lot.
But maybe the overall largest person I've ever met was in HS, a guy named Garett who was 7'1 350 when he was 16 years old. He was a giant man! He played a little football, and towered over everyone.
Albert Haynesworth... That dude is a monster of a man.

My buddy's fiance.
6'8 320 thrower on my track team. Should have been all world but he spent too much time eating entire pizza's than throwing.
Played pick up basketball regularly with Julius Peppers and Brendan Haywood. BIG dudes. Haywood was pretty soft but Peppers was a block of muscle.
My friend's uncle is 7'3 and pushing 400 pounds
Some guy I sat next to at my college graduation was enormous. I had this feeling that something bad was going to happen at the start of the ceremony, so I left some space between us. He ended up breaking the chair.
