Hm, Sathre did run a 4:10 mile indoors, so he should have the speed. Unless something is wrong, I'm guessing he's just resting for nationals. For someone likely capable of breaking 14:10, I don't see why he couldn't just run an even paced 14:40 for the win, but perhaps the coach is playing it conservative to make sure he's fresh at nats. |

Anyone know where the top guys in the conference are racing for the Last Chance meets this weekend? |

Breaking it down: Looks like the Bethel boys had a hell of a meet at LaCrosse. Huderle continues dropping his steeple PR, now he waits to see what happens at NCC today. Hamdogs went crazy in the 5k last night in Naperville. It'll be interesting to see what Sathre does at NCAA's, 3:58 last night. |

So informative. Can't find results, but here's the rankings in the final NCAA qualifiers 1500 6 Jack Deichert SR Hamline 3:49.56 14 Brian Saksa SO St. Olaf 3:51.03 16 Zach Haskins SO Bethel (Minn 3:51.47 5000 5 Devin Monson SR Hamline 14:12.57 13 Jack Deichert SR Hamline 14:26.99 Sathre did not enter the 10,000, so he'll be fresh in the 5000. He'll need to be, as Monson looks really, really good, while Sathre may have peaked too soon. |

Looks like you forgot Huderle... he\'s in the second heat of the steeple. |

Does anyone know why Brian Saksa is no longer listed in the heats of the 1500? |

Back injury. |

That sucks. A chronic thing, or an accident? That kid really improved this year and seems like a good guy. |

Not entirely sure. He is definitely a real class act. It is a shame that after getting All-American indoors he can't race this weekend. At least he's only a sophomore! |

From what I understand it likely won't be a long term issue, just a short-term injury with bad timing. |
