Tufts returns a full squad as well. |

Did you see the results of cross country nationals? Its most likely going to be a battle between Berube and Sathre again, with a big gap to everyone else. Kramer comes back and could potentially be up with those two, but I suspect not. The DMR will be unpredictable as always, especially until you know who's doubling or not. Lots of guys returning though I think. Scheetz should dominate the 800, and as was said before, the mile will likely be pretty up in the air. |

wait turlip is back? |

Seems like the 800 is Sheetz to lose but i can see Messiah's Newhook in the mix FTW also. mile indoors seems up in the air just with the field and who will be doubling back from the DMR. But if Haverford decides to double their guys (Milik, Arnold, Schoch who were all shoe in's for AA last year) it could be a lot of goats on the stand. Thought turlip graduated but may have a 5th year. Kramer is a competitor but from what xc nats looked like Sathre and Berube will definitely be battling it out again. |

Don't forget that Breitbach from Eau Claire is back for track. He was runner up in both the 10 and the 5 last year outdoors. He should not be underestimated. |

Breitbach is too soft to ever win anything. He didn't run in the WIAC conference outdoors meet to better help his own taper. Hopefully Sathre crushes that little pan$y. |

I wouldn't be so sure about Sathre and Berube. Looking at last years 5k performance list, Berube isn't even top 5 returner and not sure why but Sathre didn't do track last year so that doesnt help much... There is something to be said for guys who can perform on a cross country course (those 2 guys perhaps) and those guys that take it up a notch on the track. Look for those track performers to make it closer than you think. |

Don't think many coaches are going to like the new rules for ties. |

Nick Kramer just dropped a bomb at Grand Valley State....holy shit... |

Nick Kramer ran that fast five K with the aid of his third leg. It's a man's world to quote James Brown, and Nick Kramer, you can tell by the way he uses his run he's a woman's man, no time to talk. To quote the Beegees. Peace. |

Yikes! What is the all time fastest D3 indoor 5k? Does Kramer have a shot at it? Apparently he has recovered from whatever his injury he had during the cross season. |

berube ran a fast 5k in december last year and didn't come close to matching it the rest of the year. hammering a fast time 2 months before most times even touch the track doesn't mean anything. if he doesn't win something indoors, it was an error, to be honest |

It seems as though you suspected wrong. Wonder how fast Kramer will go once he has done some speed work because this was most likely the opener off of what I can only imagine is a very large base. That kid works hard. |

Going off of recent history, Calvin always seems to perform close to their fastest times of season at National. One exception would be Jed Christiansen's indoors race a couple years back, as I understand he was injured preceding nationals. |

Ok first you're obviously looking at outdoor performance lists not indoor ones (when Sathre was injured), but that doesn't even matter that much, because Sathre and Berube showed they were a level above the rest of d3 in cross. That could change, but it will probably carry over to track, as both of those guys have performed at as high of a level in track as anyone else in d3 (Berube was 2nd in the indoor 5k two years ago, Sathre was 4th or 5th last year). I did forget about Breitbach, who had an amazing nationals meet last spring with two second place finishes to Spain, so he could make things more interesting. It also immediately looks like Kramer is going to be a force to be reckoned with after running 14:07, though its confusing as to why he ran that race unattached (and therefore doesn't go on the performance lists i think). And if he was in that good shape so recently after xc nationals i dont really understand why he didn't compete in xc. At any rate, if Berube, Sathre, Kramer and Breitbach all come to the line at indoor nationals in top shape, it could be one of the better (and faster) nationals races in d3 history. |
