mens: iona, then cuse/providence/columbia in a good battle for 2/3/4. providence beat cuse and columbia handily at wisco, but only took cuse by a point at big east. columbia beat cuse 475 - 540 at wisco, but again syracuse looked stronger than it has earlier in the season at the conference meet. at this point looks like who shows up that day team wise will get in. no idea about individuals.
Iona will get the win. I look for Syracuse to pull a mild upset and get 2nd - closely followed by Providence and then Columbia. All four will get in. I could see it being very close. Iona in the 50's and the other three in the 70-80's.
Shaw from Dart, Lowry from Brown, Masters from Maine for three of the spots.
If he's healthy, I think James Leakos of Harvard could get an individual spot. He was 4th at Paul Short in the gold race (behind 3 OSU runners) but has been dealing with an achilles problem the last month.
I think Brown might be able to get 2 individuals in, as Matt Duffy was close behind Dan Lowry at Heps in horrid conditions.
What non-Ivy individuals do people think will get in besides Masters? Will Masters do well at 10k?
Matt Flint. Just started hitting his stride at MAACs and has a sub 30 under his belt this weekend.
Correct me if im wrong but i dont think Masters has an good times at longer distances. he should certainly be up there anyways.
Korir of Iona should win easily, and that dartmouth guy that just won heps looks to be legit. I watched heps myself and to see someone run that fast off a slow pace in horrid conditions is definitely sub 24. Merber should do well too, of course his team could qualify.
what are the qualifying rules? how many individuals go after team runners or whatever
Chris Burke from Albany has a legit shot. Right now I would say the top threats for individual spots from the region are...Ethan Shaw, Riley Masters, Chris Burke, Dan Lowry, Matt Duffy, and Paul Lagno. Am I missing anybody?
I think UMaine has a shot in the team race. Peaking at the right time.
I've been to Buffalo countless times, and if there's one thing I know about that town, it's that it is BLUE COLLAR. This meet is going to be a grueling manshow (girls are irrelevant obviously) that reflects the character of the city, excluding the lack of wealth there, since several private schools are competing. If anyone is looking for a place to dine in the 'Lo, I recommend Duff's Famous Wings, with several locations and a fairly overpriced menu.
Predictions are as follows and are guaranteed to come true;
-Mitch Goose will have the most interesting name in the top 20.
-Riley Masters and Kyle Merber will talk a little and possibly cool down together after the race.
-Iona will win by a wide margin.
-Several athletes will rush home to catch the day's college football action and not care particularly how their performance went.
Uh... Why did they leave the rest of the team at home? They were just ranked this week after finishing 3rd at AE. I hope it wasn't the cost of getting the team to Buffalo.
It's a shame the Bills are in Dallas or this could be the best sporting weekend the great town of Buffalo has ever seen.

Buffalo is literally the least convenient or logical location possible for this meet but we should not complain, the local economy needs this. I hear they are trying to get more people to host their fantasy football drafts there as well but it's too late for that this year.

UMaine despite doing well at conference didn't show. Too far too travel? All we can is embarrasing. Get two car rentals and drive if you don't have the $$$.
anywhere to watch this live on the web?

Leakos is on the start list for the race, so let's hope he has a good race. He was running so well at the start of the season.

What a great day to be in the 'Lo. Good to see Iona, Providence, and many other teams underperform. Anyone get Merber's rectal temp after this one?
