G. Mutai's splits: 1:03:18 first half; 1:01:48 second half. At NYC!!!! I think we just witnessed the greatest marathon in history.

There you have it folks. The Kenyan marathon team for the Olympics is complete. As I type, Geoffrey Mutai is earning himself a ticket to London.

You know AK has the last word.

BUt I do think Geoffrey has earned it. NO pacemakers, destroys an elite field that has Emmanuel, Tsegaye and Geb Geb.

ONly Geoffrey can do it.

KIspang, I am sorry.[/quote]

@NativeSon. If AK don't pick him it will be an effing TRAVESTY and I'll personally set a protest camp at Riadha House. That boy deserves that ticket.

actually 5:09.

You guys know you can track individual runners right?

He's gonna be 2:14 unless he legitimately blows up the last mile.

Mary Keitany is still learning. This is her 3rd marathon.Emmanuel mutai made the same mistake in 2009 at chicago and look where he is now . Keitany had to make this mistake today to learn. There is no doubt that she has the ability but she is still learning.

I see no problem in giving 2 US marathon spots to Kenya... well even 3... in return we can get some 100m/200m spots... mainstream americas are happy kenya is happy...

I'll predict, right now, that Geoffrey Mutai will not be selected. In fact there will be no Mutai's on the team. Why? History. KA are corrupt idiots.
