I'm leaving for Asia in a few days. I will be in Hong Kong for a couple of days and then Singapore for a little more than 1 week. Where is the best place to run/train in HK and Singapore (trails...)? Looking for 3 to 6 mile runs.

HK - if you're staying in Central, then Bowen road, which is halfway up Victoria Peak, is nice. Flat, 4km. So if you are staying at the Conrad or Shangri-la, you just run out the door, and up to Bowen road. Very nice. Otherwise, treadmills. It would take too much time to get to some other parks. Check out
Singapore - there are paths along the water and some rivers/canals. Never run outside there. Its nicer. Better air. I'm sure there are plenty of running websites for info.
Thanks

Should read, " I have never run outside there"
Also October is "burning season" in Indonesia - farmers clear their fields by burning them. The air across SE Asia is dense w/ smoke - not great for running (or living).
Yep, Bowen road is probably the most convenient and easiest place to find in HK.
You can also run on the Horse Track in Happy valley (Tramway Terminus), Black link(above bowen road).
I understand that you prefer trails, but it might take too long for you to find them if you dont know your way around HK.
For trail running in Singapore, go to MacRitchie Reservoir. Probably the most popular place for trail running in Singapore. It has an 11k loop, and the tree cover helps with the heat. Keep your distance from the monkeys (seriously); generally, they won't bother you but don't carry any food.
Closer in, the Botanic Garden is a nice place to run. I do most of my running there. You can manage a 4.5k loop if you stay near the perimeter. It's totally paved, so no trails. But a decent amount of shade. If you're feeling ambitious, it's also next to the old NUS track.
East Coast Park is also popular, esp on weekends and esp for long runs. You can run quite a long ways on the bike/pedestrian trail.
Singapore is not terribly hot (usually high 80s), but it's incredibly humid. If you walk out your door at 8am, you'll think it feels ok but you'll be sweating like crazy within 5 minutes of running. So be prepared.
Haze from Indonesia is only an occasional problem this time of year. You can usually tell if it's bad; i.e., you can see it and smell it. But the SG gov't posts regular readings on the air quality, just google "Singapore haze" and you'll find the link.
Well said. If u need to do speed workouts, there are many track stadiums available in many town estates that are free usage. The various parks are joined by park connectors throughout the whole country island. Air is generally very clean despite the influx of haze from indonesia. Psi levels still within moderate.
If your on the Kowloon side you can run on the harbor walkway. Nice view back across to HK.
Another advice: Run in the early morning or late evening, these are the only times when the cliamte is bearable

Hello, guys! I am living in Singapore for the last two years and I am looking for people with whom I can go running every day. Let's talk about it. What areas do you prefer for running?
Hello, my friend! I am not living in Singapore no but I am going to move there in half of a year! Do you know Singapore well? I have purchased my share in the condominium One Pearl Bank (https://www.onepearlbank-official.com.sg) and will live there for 4-5 months every year. I am fond of running and will be glad to make it together. Looking forward to your reply, thanks!
