Not quite a week, but, I think you get my point. The BroJos have to be at least as connected as The Junkyard Dog, so why does no one tip them off? Reputation matters?

I don't pretend to know anything about the Goucher's financial situation, but financially it would seem to me to be a tough time to move. They never did sell their first Portland house, which is probably worse less than they bought it for in 2005 and for which they had about $615,000 in original mortgage debt. They then went off and paid $410,000 for an 11 acre lot and put up an almost 6,400 SF new house last year. I guess you have to do what is right for your career, but with all the work and money tied up on old and new houses in Portland it seems like a tough time to pack up to Colorado.
Exactly that is why it is pretty clear that with Webb and now Goucher it wasn't their choice. They were asked to leave.

Kara just confirmed the split from Salazar on Facebook. Says it was a mutual decision, though of course that could well be PR speak, either way.
I don't have a connection to the BroJos except to say that I know them a bit and they're doofus'.
It was definitely Webb's decision to leave, don't fool yourselves. Not saying I agree with the guy, but he didn't like the militant nature of Salazar's regime.

Just read Kara's FB message on the competitor website. It doesn't sound like she has a new coach. Why would she and Alberto cut ties so close to the trials and w/o a place for her to go? Seems like the worst timing ever.
Maybe she can get a place with one of those Japanese teams. They seem to have dozens of good marathon coaches.
