If you were watching, it wasn't a false start.

First attempt the gun didn't fire (so likely wouldn't have started the timer). That's not a false start.

The subsequent gun shot was a test shot that wasn't made clear to the athletes since many were not yet back behind the line.

When they got them lined up properly again, the next gun shot did start the race as it was supposed to.

34:30 into the race, Japanese women leading pack of maybe 25 runners. Looks like they're picking up the pace. I think Moody is only USA runner in main pack.
