This really sucks I was so happy for him that he made the world team. I feel bad for the family after his brother also got in trouble last season.

Felony assault = Blue Collar
Felony ID theft = not
Strange way to avoid a positive test.
Hopefully Mitchell will be put on the team.
And, I believe this was the kid that was in law school also.
So Dobson lost his ID and someone used it? Must have been fun for Dobson to prove to the police that he REALLY is Dobson.
must have been more fun to prove that he is DoDson, not Ian Dobson

Not a big deal, this is a requirement especially since the NFL is already ready to pick him up!!
So he loses his spot now?

No, case of mistaken identity (or swapped identity!) Apparently, Dodson's ID was stolen, and somebody did some nefarious thins posing as him. He ended up getting arrested. At least...that's the story from T&FN.
0/10 for Dodson's attorney.

The story from the Daily Cemera suggests that the excuse offered by Dodson's agent is extremely tenuous at best.
http://www.dailycamera.com/boulder-county-news/ci_18719489Kind of hard to explain, among lots of other things, why someone stealing Dodson's identity would pay off Dodson's mother's cell-phone bill. A kinder, gentler felon?
Dumb criminals. Pays for personal cable and cell bills with a stolen credit card. Like that's not going to be traced. He needs to sit in jail for quite a few months just for sheer stupidity.
THe good news is he receives extra credit for law school.
It would probably make sense for an identity thief to do things like paying off Dodson's mother's card. It throws the heat heavy in Dodson's way.
I'm not saying that this is the likely scenario, but he seems like a smart guy, why do something like this?
And furthermore, why would someone who allegedly stole Dodson's I.D. and used other people's stolen credit cards to buy merchandise have said merchandise shipped to Dodson's address?
This ain't lookin' good for the man.
white collar crime, but a future blue collar life
So his alibi is that he lost his wallet on Pearl Street three times, and someone then used stolen credit cards, not his, to pay his bills. Just as well he can never be a lawyer now, he sucks at making up convincing alibis.
The way the US sprint team is dissolving, I'll be running in the World Champs with my 25.3 standing start 200m.
